For as long as I can remember, I have dreamed of having my own atelier, a space where I could work with clay and create freely on the wheel. Pottery has always been more than just a craft to me—it is a deep connection with the earth, a source of peace and strength.
For years, life placed obstacles in my path. My work, circumstances, and responsibilities kept me from pursuing this passion. In 2015, I had planned to take pottery workshops, but once again, life had other plans. Still, the desire never faded. I knew that one day, I would return to clay.
After the COVID-19 pandemic, I took a leap and left my job, traveling to France for two years. When I came back to Lebanon, I had a realization—I no longer wanted to work as an employee. I wanted to do something that truly resonated with me, something that filled my soul with joy. That was the moment my journey with pottery truly began.
At first, I approached pottery as a form of therapy, a way to connect with myself and the earth. But as I immersed myself in the craft, I discovered something even deeper—I wasn’t just creating objects; I was creating moments of silence, mindfulness, and beauty. The more I worked, the more I fell in love with the process. I started sharing my creations with family and friends, and their reactions confirmed what I had begun to feel—this wasn’t just a personal journey; it was something I wanted to share with the world.
The encouragement and appreciation from those around me gave me the push to turn my passion into something bigger. I realized that through pottery, I could share my love for this art form, help others experience its therapeutic nature, and bring handmade beauty into people’s lives. And so, Ard Ceramic was born—not just as a business, but as a reflection of my journey, my connection with the earth, and my desire to bring warmth and authenticity into every piece I create.
